Hi
Suzanne,
If you have
historic Final Validation Reports that show that the records in question were
submitted and accepted a production records, call your State MDS helpdesk and
explain your findings to them. You will need to reference the Batch ID's
on the FVR that support your findings. Your State helpdesk support person
can then pull up your historic transmission records as well. If you find,
after talking with the State helpdesk that some of the records were actually
missed, you will need to submit those original records now. This takes
researching events by going through closed records and then creating the record
and transmitting them as appropriate. Another good resource for
completing this process is to call your MDS software vendor. They can also
help you through this process.

Subject: missing MDS reportThe state surveyer who comes in to do the quarterly visits asked me to pull up the missing MDS report, and that since we have a large facility (180 beds) there should be no more than 12 names on it. Well, there are 25 on it. Dating back to 2001. She wants them cleared off, but HOW? The risk manager and I don't know how. We can't figure out why most of the people are on it because our records show the MDSs were submitted/accepted. Can anyone help me?Suzanne
