The 14 day PPS assessment is NOT a comprehensive assessment with RAPS unless
it is combined with either an admission, annual or significant change
assessment. NO PPS assessments are comprehensive unless combined with a
comprehensive OBRA assessment. You do not need to automatically do RAPs
with a 14 day PPS only assessment.

We do the print out of MDS due. The problem apparently is the computer does
not recognize a comprehensive assessment with RAPs unless it is an Admission
or Sig. Change. The 14 Day PPS comprehensive with RAPS for our readmit did
not reset the clock. I appreciate the discussion and comments I have
received they have helped a lot. Mark Abrahamson

I would add that some MDS software offers an "MDS due" report which I print
out each month when doing my care plan calendar. I use it as a "double
check" to ensure I'm on track.
