Since they were gone over 24 hours you would have to start the PPS schedule over again and do a discharge return anticipated. Then when they come back a reentry and a medicare/return admission. It doesn't matter whether they were admitted or not to the hospital because they were gone over 24 hrs. Pg 2-23 talks about dc and reentry. Debbie Nichols
