______________ Hi Dan, This is a known side effect of Gleevec and it is discussed periodically. OHSU refers to this as "fragile skin" and I believe that it is from the Gleevec effect on C-kit, just like the de-pigmentation, where some people get lighter. There isn't really a remedy for this. I have been on IM for 5 years, high dose for 3.5 years and my "fragile skin" seems to cycle for me like other side effects. Sometimes just bumping something tears the skin right off.
