As far as his dose, his dr. said they would try the lowest dose first and work from there, He seemed to think 300 mg was the losest dose---I have no idea but is'nt it great for us all to be able to compare notes like this! This is also his second go round with gleevec and he was on 300 mg last time. He had 2 years of clean bmb on this dose and unfortunatley his dr. took him off and basically told us he was done and cured---not so, we found out within a year it was back and here we are, hoping to have the same luck with gleevec this time around. very important -- take at least 1200 mg a day but not within 2 hours of
taking Gleevec. Also, there are creams like Ben-Gay, etc. and also stick-on
patches with heat generating gel on it that last for 8 hours that you can
wrap around a wrist, elbow, knee, put on your back, etc.
Try these, too.
