The only thing my daughter is allowed to take for pain is Ibuprophen, which does diddly nothing really.  She also takes Zofran (a MIRACLE drug for nausea) when she needs it, only a couple of times a week.  She was taking Lortab for pain and when the doctor found out, he went ballistic.
I hate the way she suffers with the leg pain.  So Gleevec is better than previous chemo. drugs...but to me that doesn't mean people should have to tolerate such down right pain.  Just MHO.
