He needs to see the oncologist to discuss the cause and get advice, and
probably get another CBC blood test to make sure the test was accurate.
 It depends on how low the numbers are.  There are some medications
that can help raise low counts, or he may need to take a break from
Gleevec for a while.  The onc needs to advise what is best for your
Dad.  We all have something that goes wrong with our blood counts,
especially within the first months of taking Gleevec.
