I'm guessing I'm about to fringe on the unspeakable/unknown but I'm so desperate for an appetite I was thinking of trying pot to enhance my appetite. I have smoked before in my life so I know what to expect but I'm just curious if there would be any drug interactions with the Gleevec? I was given the Meloril which is suppose to be pure THC in pill form but it didn't work, not even in high doses. I know when I smoked in earlier years it made me have a raging appetite. My daughter and her friends are always pleading with me to get me to smoke when they have run across some real munchie weed. I'm not afraid of it, I suspect it would not be good on my lungs to smoke it as I have emphysema but if I were to feel safe enough to use it, I'd just cook me up a batch of brownies with it in it. Has anyone ever watched that new series on ShowTime called Weeds? It is so true to life. Anyway, I'm just desperate to try anything that would give me an appetite. I think my body would be more tolerant of the Gleevec if I could eat more than I do. I weigh only 111lbs. I look like I'm anoxeria or on crack. It's embarrassing. Some people don't even recognize me anymore. Anyway, I just wondered if this would be an option. If anyone has any knowledge about this and is not afraid to share it with me, please email me privately and we will correspond in private or I will give you my telephone number and we can talk. If no one knows or fears acknowledging that you know....I'm going to discuss it with my doctor next visit. I've got to do something and SOON. I'm wasting away to nothing. Before the CML/Gleevec I wore size 12 jeans. Now I'm in 7/8. I'm ashamed to be seen in shorts and I've always loved the summer time and being able to dress in shorts and sleeveless shirts, and bathing suits. I'm ashamed but I'm still gonna flaunt what I got left while I can. Hope to hear some suggestions on this. If not, I'll share with you what the MD has to say about it. Thanks for being here to answer my questions, no matter what they are. For those of you who don't know, I'm crazy.....in a crazy kind of way. I'm just desperate to live and I'll try anything if it's proven it works and it's safe. Surely, it couldn't hurt me any worse than the Gleevec is or the cigerettes I smoked for years. It seems now days....even the air we breathe is contaminated enough to make us sick. The soil is contaminated, the water...what's a little marijuanna gonna do to me? Hopefully make me hungry is all.
