My husbands spleen was enlarged at DX too,He was not hungry at all.He said every thing tasted like card board. But when the spleen went down some his appetite returned.He has gained weight,but he had lost about 25 pounds before we found out he has CML..Some people in the group say they gain weight at first with gleevec but it tapers of after you have been on treatment for awhile.Randy takes his gleevec at lunch time,because he eats more at that time,and he drinks a 20oz.bottle of water with it.He has had no nausea.Hope you find what works for you.Sandy,wife of Randy DX 8/05
