Germaine:
Hi, if you are at Emory in Atlanta, that's where my favorite hem/onc
went and his name is Dr. Hannah Khoury. He's a great doctor and very
knowledgeable about CML. He left here (St. Louis, Mo,) in Aug. of 2004
to set up a unit at Emory like we have here at Siteman Cancer Center in
St. Louis. If you can get in to see him, do so. You won't regret it,
I promise you. When he told me he was leaving and where he was going,
I asked him if I could just come down there to see him when I had to
have my four months check ups. He laughed and said if you want to. I
grinned back at him and said, "No, guess not, it's too far to drive and
I also hate Atlanta."

You hang in there and keep the faith. First thing towards having peace
of mind about having a disease like CML is finding a "good &
knowledgeable (if that's a word, smile)" doctor, one that you have good
faith in and can trust. Also, one that doesn't scare you to death, but
honest. In other words, one with tact & a concerned "bed side manner!
I do think I've read from different ones here that you can e-mail Dr.
Druker if that will make you feel better.

Just Keep Looking Up,
Suzieq
