Hi all, Had my stress test and passed but the Doctor put me on Atenolol 50 mg. My blood pressure is on the high side. After reading the info sheet that comes with the drug from Walgreen's they have a list of things that can happen a mile long. Scares the heck out of you. I called the Doctor put he won't be in until Monday afternoon. I'm not taking it until I talk to him. I told him I was on Gleevec, he never heard of it. And he's head of Cardiology. Has anyone else been on the drug and have you had any bad side effects? I hate taking new any like of new drugs. My BUN and CREATININE are at the high side of the scale, let me know if you have any input. Thanks, Greenie
