Jeanie, Increasing the dosage of Gleevec will often suppress the counts of the granulocyte cell lines (neutrophils, eosinophils, basophils), but will not normally affect the lymphocyte cells (T-cells, B-cells, etc) by creating either smudge cells (fragile lymphocyte cells that break open easily) or atypical lymphocyte cells (odd sizes, shapes, or nucleus), neither of which are normally associated with CML. I would ask the doc about the smudge cells and atypical lymphocytes. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ [CMLHope] A support group of http://cmlhope.com -------------------------------------------------
