Hi and thanks; that helps me a lot.
It seems we always want to see what everyone else is doing, but we are all
different.
I haven't had a PCR in quite a while, so will probably get a BMA next month.
When the Hemg is 10.4, does that mean I am anemic?
Blessings,
Jeanie<3

Jeanie,

Can you remind me again what your Ph+ status currently is?

Frankly, nothing in the report by itself is of immediate concern.
Have to look at trends. I have seen reports that gleevec at higher
doses may induce lower red counts but its rare. I would keep an eye
on that one parameter.

I worked in a Hospital lab while I was in graduate school. We used to
collect blood samples from the lab staff to run as controls to check
the equipment. I recall that about 75% of the people I worked with
had at least 1 CBC value that was outside (High or Low) the range.
Also, your own white blood counts fluctuate about +/- 10-15 % during
the day in the blood. For example, I can remember a couple people who
always had platelet counts above 400. The blood bank was constantly
begging them to undergo a platelet pheresis so they could have some
great transfusion products. Keep this in mind when looking at a
report such as this. Don't look at the normal range as something that
everyone conforms too.

The CBC report trend taken over several tests will let you and the
doctor know how things are going.
