Hi Suzzie, I have not stopped my part time work, but I can tell you that I often think about going on disability. I have been on 400 mgs of Gleevec since Dec. 03 and have had a good response, although I think I have and continue to struggle with just about every possible side-effect at some time or another. I completely understand the need to stop working, and I hope that I can soon. How many of you had to stop work because of the side effects of Gleevec, plus the depression etc. I myself had to stop working, and people do not understand what your going through if your doing well on your medication.
