I haven't quit working, but I was laid off from my job at IBM on June
16, 2008.  I worked from home which made it easier for me to work full-
time.  I take
Gleevec 600mg/daily.  It is controlling the CML, but I have all the
side effects.  I've been on it for 4 years now.  I am currently
drawing unemployment and I am working part-time, but it's hard because
I am doing a very physical job now and I can't do it from home.  I
don't sleep well because of the diarrhea, nausea, and the muscle
cramps.

People do not understand.  I look healthy.  I haven't lost any
weight.  People think if you have "cancer" you should look like a
holocaust victim.  I understand how frustrating it can be.
