Greenie:

I sure hope you meant 12 years here.......if not, then your son has to
be the oldest NAVY SEAL living.......LOL!!!

It is so great to hear all of these wonderful testimonies from those
of you who've lived with CML successfully for ten or more years. You
are my inspiration....helps me to get out of bed each day and place
one foot in front of the other. THANKS TO ALL OF YOU!!!!!

I don't know about any of you on Gleevec.......but, I have noticed a
huge difference in my hair (along with my beautician). I know that it
has to be the Gleevec & all the vitamins because I have never had this
much body & curls in all my born days without the process of a
perm. And, I have not had a perm since the year before I was dx'ed
with CML......I quit perming because of a very bad one that burnt my
hair! (it was with a different beautician who should have known
better) That was over five and half years ago........I have always
had very fine, thin hair that usually is straight. I can not say that
any longer......Yes, it is still fine, but not so thin as before and
now full of natural body & wave, I can't believe it. I have people
whom I've known for years asking me if I got a perm. The only thinkg
I do is get a color put on ever so many weeks (I know, such vanity,
right?). I did switch to the Nioxin shampoo for fine thinning hair
when I began noticing I was losing more than normal......I guess that
was a faze because it's not coming out like it did there for a while.
I think I had too much protein in my diet back then. Sooooo, my
question is this, has anyone of you noticed a change in your hair,
too?

God bless you all,
Suzieq

 I everyone,

Just got back from Indiana, was helping my step son with his new
 house.  He
quit the Navy after 112 years two weeks ago.  He's with the  Seals
support
team and he's seen a lot of action.  They were going to send  him
back for the
four time and  he said the odds of something happening  where getting
greater.

Well woke up with my first eye bleed yesterday morning, big surprise,
first
one ever.  But it's starting to slowly go away.  Iv'e read where a
lot  of you
people have had the same thing.  Any way it's GREAT to be back in my
 own
 home.  You all take care.
