Yes, the hair changes are very visible. I lost a lot of hair when I
was on Interferon and it grew back with a different texture. I'd
always had straight hair and when it grew back it was wavy and thicker
in the back. But the hair that I lost in front never grew back to its
former thickness and its ends are frizzy. There are also changes in my
eyelashes: my eyelashes used to grow straight out from the lid; now
the lashes on my left eye curl upward, as if I'd used an eyelash
curler there. But the right eyelid's lashes are still straight. I
give a lot of credit for the thick re-growth and the health of my hair
to the vitamin supplements I've been taking since I began taking
Gleevec, including calcium/vitamin D and flaxseed oil. But the wavy
quality is just like the regrowth after having chemotherapy. If you
know someone who has been on standard chemotherapy, his or her hair
also grows back curly, or changed in some way. Vivi
