Hi:  I just saw the post.  I have been on Gleevec for 8 years, and I also had
poker straight hair my whole life.  Now I have curly hair, but its real tight
and curly on the right side of my head, and only slightly on the left.  My
hairdresser just laughs to see it like this after all these years I have been
going to her.  Gleevec is a form of Chemo, therefore, I call it my Chemo
Curls.   That is why a lot of us have gotten curly hair.  A lot of times with
Chemo as you probably know, people lose their hair then it comes in curly when
it grows back.  I have tryed all different hairstyles, but it just never looks
right to me.

My hair was once described by a hairdresser as "glassy". It was absolutely
straight and shiny, and determined to remain straight.
After 7 years on Gleevec, I now have curly hair. Having kept the same
hairdresser, she has noticed this change. With lupus I lost tons of hair, but
it came back as the lupus was controlled. A doctor friend also suggested I take
a Biotin supplement each day. My nails and hair are as healthy now as they ever
were.
Where the curls came from, I cannot imagine. Certainly not hereditary.

  Sooooo, my
question is this, has anyone of you noticed a change in your hair,
too?
