Yes, those spicy food can be bad with Gleevec. I always took my Gleevec in the morning with my breakfast as I always had a mild breakfast. It seemed to work best for me. Keep that tummy happy. What I miss since taking Gleevec is Mexican food. I can still eat mexican food, but must be very careful to avoid jalapeno peppers or anything very spicy, including the salsa. The inside of my mouth is very sensitive to anything hot. Even hot coffee or soup can irritate my mouth. Fortunately, I can still enjoy guacamole, ice coffee, and cerveza.
