Hi Kelly, does wine hurt your tummy; try to eat some mild foods and nothing spicy with your wine. I get heartburn also if I don't watch what I eat. Meatloaf is one of my heartburn foods. So stay with mild foods and see if you can have your wine- Blessings, jeanie In a message dated 11/3/2009 10:24:12 A.M. Eastern Daylight Time, [email protected] writes:
llo, I thought I would add, as an afterthought.........having a few drinks with my friends helps me feel "normal" and it seems to alleviate the worries of my friends....you know how they walk on eggshells with the dreaded "cancer" word. I have found just recently, I cannot drink beer AT ALL now. The heartburn is so intense I have to go home and lie down even after downing numerous TUMS. My mother told me that beer is so gassy, it's no wonder. I can live without alcohol - no problem, but I would rather find something else I can drink that doesn't tear my stomach up so bad so I don't have to give up those monthly parties! Trial and error, eh? Give it all you've got!
