Suzieq, That was my error! I had read about it being approved on another website. The application for extension from May 28, 2013 for 586 days to January 4, 2015 has not been approved yet. However, it is still listed as in process. Sprycel also has a request for a very short extension for something like 76 days to June 28, 2020. You will find both drugs on the last 3 pages of the United States Patent and Trademark Office web site, which I have attached below. If you click on the patent number to the left of the drug name, it will pull up the actual application.
You might also find the battle Novartis is having with India over patent issues interesting.
