Niek, I don't know how you are reading the data on the website, but it clearly states the original patent on gleevec expires on 28th day of May, 2013. If you click on the patent number in the column left of the name gleevec it clearly states again the original expiration date of 28th day May, 2013, and that they are requesting a 586 day extension on top of that date, thus putting it at the 4th day of Jan. 2015. Perhaps it's the unorthodox way they use the European dd/mm/yy method of showing date unlike our use of mm/dd/yy.
