Zavier:

To be in your Zero Club do you need to be in Major Molecular Remission? If it is a CCR that would make me a member and a very happy person!

I assign a Zero Club number once you reach CCR. I don't recall assigning you one in the past, so enjoy it.

PCR values tend to fluctuate. It takes 3 consecutive results to establish a trend. I would only worry if there as a 1 log or greater change and then ask to be retested.

It looks like your doctor is right on top of it. I can say don't worry, but if I had a 1 log increase I would ask to be retested.

hi all,
i have had cml for about 3.5 years, and was originally on gleevec, but
transferred to tasigna about a year ago due to fatigue issues with
gleevec. i obtained ccr in the first year and since then my pcr has
been stable, between a 2 and 3 log reduction. in the my previous
quarterly visit my pcr had dropped to 3 log reduction for the first
time (good news). but at my most recent visit it is back up to around
the level it has been around for the past 2 years (bad news). my dr
and i are concerned to see such an increase and i have a follow-up pcr
in 5 weeks to see if it is still rising.

my question is have other experienced similar increases? is it common
to experience temporary fluctuation or does such a change usually
indicate loss of response? obviously, i am very concerned and going to
follow up regardless, but would be good to get a sense of others'
experiences.

thanks,
daniel
