When you first had the heavy shakes did any of the nurses call them RIKERS or
something like that ..
every time I had them with Nilotinib they called them rikers and nothing in the
whole hospital would
some them until what ever meds they gave me
I have look for a word like that but I must have heard wrong or spelled it
wrong
cannot find it
When I had them they had to put locks on the bed or I would have been down from
the
8th floor to the 1st. Heating pads, electric blankets at home or heated
blankets at the hospital
nothing would calm except time and some drugs
It is only with the heart one see rightly what is essential is invisible to the
eye (little prince)

Angie:

Yep, very, very cold at times right after starting the Gleevec 7
years ago last month. My husband thought I was nuts......my teeth
would be chattering and I would cover up to my chin. I finally learned
to just get the heating pad which helped the most. I had seen others
listed here in our group in the beginning who claimed the same
thing....and how they wore heavy sweat pants and shirts even in the
summer. :):) Even now, there are times when I cannot get warm &
will go get in bed and cover up with the heating pad on. But, never
those deep bone chillin' chills like in the beginning.

& the awful fatigue.......it would hit like a wall and I would just
have to go lie down on the sofa. That was something I had a very hard
time explaining to people. No one understood, even my husband at
times. I still get tired at times, but it's nothing like it was in
the beginning. Thank you, Lord.

Keep Looking Up,
Suzieq
