Skip: I never said anything to my doctor about the freezing chills....once I found this support group about six or seven months after beginning Gleevec, I found out that others here were having the same problems. When I was dx'ed, I had lost quite a bit of weight as well as being sick for several weeks with sinus infection and very, very bad upper respiratory infection to where I had coughed my self silly. It was also in Feb. when I began Gleevec and very cold here in Missouri at that time, so I just contributed my chills to that. Did not think it could be the Gleevec until becoming part of this group. I was absolutely grateful to find others on this drug who were having symptoms like I was. I would tell my doctor when I went in for check ups what was going on....all they seemed concerned with was my nausea & chronic diarrhea, LOL!!! Anyway, like I said, I still get cold ever so often but then can turn right around a break out in a sweat, LOL!!! Such joys! :) But as Marcie stated.....I'm just grateful to still be here......grateful for Gleevec and other CML drugs & doctors & researchers out there.....grateful for this support group of wonderful people who've become my "friends and co-survivors" over past seven years & counting! God bless you all. I love you and I pray for you, too.
