My name is Pedro and i'm portuguese. My sister has,43 years old and in 2007 she was diagnosed a myeloid leukemia (CML) and Philadelphia positive acute lymphoblastic leukemia. After several quimio and radioterapy treatments she was submitted to a transplant in 2008. Everything seemed to be going well, but in 2009 some cells were found again in my bone marrow. This situation has been succefully controlled with DASATINIB. However they found other mutant cells (Mutation T315I). For that there is still no treatment available in Portugal. Her's physician talked about the success with PONATINIB from ARIAD. There are trials going on from the laboratory ARIAD, but it's very difficul to includ my sister in one of this trials!!!
Does any one has an ideia how we can do so that she can be included in this trials, or how we can get the PONATINIB, so that her's physician can follow the treatment with her? Does any one have some informations from the Mutation T315I?
