If you fail that, as I did, the doctor may certify you for surgery which is often covered by insurance. I have my 3 month FISH and BCR-ABL on Friday and the outcome of that will determine whether or not surgery takes place. Just wondering is it worth the risk when I have this underlying illness. The doctors seem to feel that it will be perfectly fine. I would love to hear some feedback and hope that you, Victoria, find some comfort in knowing that you are not alone in going through this issue.
