Hi Richard....Thanks for the information. I'm going nuts trying to sort through about 2,000 photo's. What happened is that my Kodak site on here got messed up and wouldn't let me e-mail any photo's...even though it was working in every other way. I even deleted it and put it back in and couldn't get it to work, so he told me to download Picasa and it works, but brought in every picture from various things in the computer and I have duplicate, triplicates, etc. and don't know enough about getting rid of them as it gets rid of all of the ones in the computer and that's not what I want. Right now, I have him working on the computer as it's doing some crazy things. I am also putting everything I want to save into folders on the Picasa site, and after doing that, I want to store them on those stick things and then just delete everything from this computer getting rid of all of the copies, etc. He's also looking for a lap top for me to use from other area's of the house. Like I told everyone, my health isn't wonderful and there are days I spend a lot of time in my bedroom, and this would give me the lap top to use from anywhere I am. I wish I were more computer literate. My sons are, and taught me a lot, but now two are out of state, and even though I have one living here, he is still learning too. He is getting pretty good at things, but I still need my computer guy. I'll let you know how it goes. I just hate messes and this is really messed up. The photo's don't take a lot of space and I still have lots of that, but I just want to back them up as I want my children to have access to them when I'm gone. The next time my son comes in from New Jersey, I'll have him put some on sticks and show me how to do it. My 8 year old grandson probably knows more about it then I do. As I said, I'm not bad for a 74 year old gal, but to old to go much further. Thanks for everything....I'll ask Ed (my computer guy) about everything and see what I need to do the job. His problem is that the business has downsized and he's lost his helper, so is out fixing, computers a lot with very little time for my kind of problems. I talked to him this morning though and gave him my access code to Logmein and he can get on that when he has time and see what he can do from his office. That works for me.
