Thank you Richard for clarifying! I will keep you in my thoughts for
Monday...thinking and praying for good numbers!!!

Got my results back...BCR was up 1 log...in 6 weeks off sprycel. so it was
wise to go back on. I am hoping that if I can get into complete remission and
stay there for two years. ( my personal goal) that I might try to titrate off
and see what happens. With being on and off the meds for four surgeries in two
years, it's not been possible to have a stable remission.

In my case, without the meds, I do have the condition get worse very
quickly....for a slow growing cancer....

My back is just plain bad, post surgery, much worse than before surgery...don't
know what to say except that I am disabled from the surgery and praying that my
back will heal over a longer period of time...we all need to try and live the
best lives we can. I did the surgery because I had daily sciatic pain that kept
me from living fully. Had I thought that this surgery could make things much
worse, I would have stuck with what I had......it's fully how we don't hold on
to certain facts, like I just went through two surgeries to correct a botched
hysterectomy..so of course, things can go wrong....

I am staying positive, and strong...and saying Marty's prayer to get me
through...

Looking forward to your results on Monday Richard. Hello to all my CML buddies
out there...that's my update!!

Take good care, Beth

It's been fourteen years for me after a long, long year on PegIntron. I
started STI571 on February 1st of 2000 and was up and about by mid- August.
With all the usual, difficult side-effects, most of which became attenuated
over time except for periorbital edema, leg cramps and weight gain around my
middle. Just great to be here all this time after being told that I was a
goner.
Courage to all of us.

17 for me, been on Gleevec since it was approved in the US, I also go Monday to
my Onc. I still get the cramps in different parts of the body but that's better
than the alternative.

I have passed my 13th year with CML. Monday I will meet with my ONC for the
results on my blood tests. My CBC was eactly where it should be so I am
praying for good results. About a month ago I noticed a spring in my steps to
coffee club and increased energy. I will report the findings after I get them.

I am praying for all, and so glad Marty is feeling better and able to join on
line.
