That's kinda rough, especially as CMF is but one particular
implementation of a CMF atop Zope, and is a deliberately incompleat one
at that.  Zope itself certainly fits the application server role, but
its above there that things get foggy.  Zope, CMF, Plone, variou
sproducts (which variously do and don't have UIs or content roles),
Silva, EasyPublisher, Neoboard, Icoya, etc etc etc.  There's a little
internally fertile and multiple cross-linked ecosystem in there.  The
Zope layering model doesn't deconstruct cleanly into well accepted
terminology (which is mostly evidence that the terminology is flawed).
