Well, ok, i didn't mean it as a stone-throw at the SCL
people, more of a lament that there isn't even a
semi-portable threading library--things of that
nature.

Not really. We need to run on windows, linux,
serverx, etc. Not to mention that i have issues with
the two lisp systems named above...
