It can be ATF or motor oil. Usually, there is a (reddish) label on top or the side of the transmission. Also, check how much you sucked out. It is very easy to overfill. Mine (Hurth 50) takes .7 l of ATF. Check for correct fluid type. Mine takes ATF. - .7 litres. A little less because it's hard to vacuum all of the fluid out.
