Mike; I presume it is hooked on something from pulling down on halyard; so you may need to pull up on it to free the snag. A wire coat hanger straightened out with a hook bent into the end and sharpened; poke wire down from sheave and try to hook onto the halyard and pull back up to de-snag if reachable (piano wire is another longer option). Removing the sheaves may make it easier access. A mini camera may give you better view of what is going on also to prevent future snag. Cheers, Steve Mallett
