Just to add some notes on that:

On Win XP using SciTE, I just can't run anything OpenGL (PyOpenGL,
pyglet, cocos) from inside the editor. It hangs up and I have to kill
the python process manually. On komodo edit, though, it never happens
and I'm using it on a daily basis for some time now. I would guess it
has to do with how the editors spawn the python interpreter process to
run the code.
