I beg to differ...
there are only so much basic types of games: (electronic or
otherwise)
1. games of thought / wit
2. games of skill
3. silly games
4. combinations
driving / shooting is basically a 2d/3d projection of your skillset,
which enables you to make 'real-life' decisions within the game world.
So it's hard to be original in providing new games, but cool that
the hyperrealism has worn off, and we are now progressing slowly into the
land of surrealism.
