The Java detection PR is #12740, from @karthik-0306; its head is `8e75f8cf`. Linking it here for the launcher work. I ran the 20 detector tests successfully and exercised the helper with installed JDKs on macOS: Java 11 and 17 return the expected executable/version; Java 8 is rejected with the Java 11+ guidance.
