Thanks @CryoThrust for linking the PR and for testing it on macOS. @SEZ9, sorry, my earlier comment was missing the link. The PR is #12740: https://github.com/apache/seatunnel/pull/12740 It follows the three points we agreed on. The one design choice to look at is that a bad JAVA_HOME raises an error instead of falling back to PATH. It's explained in the PR description.
