Flipped both Delta defaults to Kernel, per the go-ahead on #886: - Target side (xtable.delta.target.use_kernel, existing flag, default now true): verified via TestConversionTargetFactory and the full ITConversionController suite (36/36 pass) — confirms existing Standalone test cases stay on Standalone, and the Kernel-specific paths are unaffected. - Source side (xtable.delta.source.use_kernel, new flag — no prior mechanism existed): verified via TestRunSync, plus an end-to-end run against the real bundled CLI jar on a genuine Delta table — confirmed Kernel runs by default (via its own engine logs) and the Standalone escape hatch produces identical results. - Also merged in an unrelated upstream change (Hudi table version 9) that touched the same test file; re-verified after merging. spotless:check is clean.
