Hello Christopher, I am new to using gstreamer and sox, and I was making myself comfortable in the same since last 2-3 days. However, I found myself helpless while playing a simple mp3 file using gstreamer through the terminal. There was a simple command provided in the gstreamer documentation to run a mp3 file, but it's not working on my system. The command goes like this: * * *Command: *gst-launch filesrc location=emptines.mp3 ! mad ! audioconvert ! audioresample ! alsasink * * *Error: *Setting pipeline to PAUSED ... ERROR: Pipeline doesn't want to pause. ERROR: from element /GstPipeline:pipeline0/GstFileSrc:filesrc0: Resource not found. Additional debug info: gstfilesrc.c(1036): gst_file_src_start (): /GstPipeline:pipeline0/GstFileSrc:filesrc0: No such file "emptines.mp3" Setting pipeline to NULL ... Freeing pipeline ...
I tried a lot of variants of the above command, but all of them gave me the same result. * * I tried contacting the mailing list of gstreamer, but there was no reply from them. Can you please help me with this problem. Sorry to bother you with this problem, but the application period has started already and time is running out. I am looking forward to work on this project and I don't want to loose this opportunity.
