I just received six 250Mb Apple-rommed HDs that I found on the LEM swap list
from R.A.Cantrell <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>. He has loads of them to sell, they were
pulled from 7100's. I hooked them up to the external port (one at a time!) of a
SE/30 and reformated them. I then used some s/w I downloaded (Lido 7.56) to
measure their average seek time, write, and read times. Seek time came out at
11mS compared with the original 40Mb drives 23mS! Write time was 1600Kb/s and
read time 1371Kb/s. I don't know what rpm these do.

Does anybody know how fast these drivers went in a 7100? Does this indicate that
the SE/30's disc controller limit has been reached? Definitely a nice cheap
upgrade.
