2 quick comments - i) the LC is too slow, IMHO, to make it worthwhile.
ii) interfacing a Classic CRT to a non-compact logic board requires an 
'analogue' board of some sort - eg that from the 12" monitor, as in my 
PMGSP.  You might be able to use the analogue board of the Classic, but 
you'd only get a 1-bit display, AFAIK.
