It's important to keep in mind that the video output of an LC is an ANALOG
signal (i.e., smoothly-varying voltages representing levels of brightness),
whereas the Classic and all compact Macs use a type of DIGITAL video signal
(i.e., on and off; white and black; nothing in between).

Without a special circuit to convert the LC's analog output to a 1-bit digital
signal, it won't work.
