Hey, on that suggestion to pull the ROM simm tighter: I forgot to mention, it's not necessary to fully disassemble the SE/30 to see if ROM is problem. Just take the case off. Then reach in with finger and push top of ROM simm toward front while at same booting the Mac. Much easier that way.
