Thanks to all who responded. I guess I should have said I could only use 2 or 3 of these. Alltronics has a $15 minimum for a .90 cent item and derf.com seems to sell things in lots, the minimum for this item being 13 pcs. That would be ok if enough people wanted the extras at cost including shipping. I don't want to stock pile them for any length of time.
Good thought Jeff, but the closest thrift store is a 3 hour round trip, to look for a part that may have limited life expectancy. I'm in the country here. I may give with the DigiKey alternative,1N5404 a try. I have a test-bed-Plus I can try it in first. Has anybody tried these yet? Yes pickle, please send the pdf when you have a chance. Thanks much.
