>The Classic is >a better looking machine. Ah. This is where we really disagree. I don't care much for the looks of the Classic. I don't care much for the curved design of the Macs of that era in general.
>The SE's tend to have analog board >problems. I mean, Jeez, when you have dozens of Baby Macs and you >don't have room for all of them, some of them have got to go. And I >don't keep a house full of cats or a yard full of dogs either. Personally I avoid getting more monitors. They take up the most space and are very heavy. I don't tend to use them much anyway. > >LC's are ought the door, too, if it comes to a decision on >maintaining an LC II or III or higher. And an LC II is out of here >without adequate memory. Why should I spend money on memory for a >crippled machine anyway. You want to see my stack of LC IIs? How >about 40 meg drives over 80s? You gotta draw the lign. I kinda like the LC. It runs system 6 and it can function with the fan disabled. Of all LC-models it is the only one I have used regularly. I too wouldn't spend any money on them though. My favorite vintage Mac by far is the Plus. It is the only vintage Mac I use daily. The other ones are collecting dust in the garage right now. I might begin using a LC or IIci again in the winter, when I start longing for a color screen and tend to play more (vintage) games.
