>And the floppy with the ROM source code is copy protected in a way that I >have never seen before. >One of the files won't open, not even in ResEdit. > This would suggest a bad floppy to me! I was dumb enough to purchase the same package also (the plot thickens!), and I had NO problems whatsoever with the contents of the floppy. I can email you an archive of the floppy, if you'd like.
Seems to me we would all've been better off if we'd teamed up and just purchased one set of schematics, and then split costs! On another note, I've tried the IIfx-ploy also. Worked like s**t to me! Yes, it made the chequered screen at boot, but also funny noises came from the floppy/HDD - sounded to me a bit like it was sending some illegal commands down the SCSI-bus. Well, I'm currently in the process of scanning my schematics; will post them on www.bananajr.com in the very-near future (this weekend I hope!) So plz, feel free anyone, to DL them at your leasure. Also source-code for the "Bart"-drivers and ROM as well. Have a nice weekend, everyone, /Anders Rimmer - Denmark -- Compact Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/>.
