Sierra Proto-Express, https://www.2justforyou.com/NASApp/sierraproject/jsp/tabs_quote_promotion_.jsp , will do two proto-type four layer boards for about $135 total by the time they're shipped. The buyer must supply Gerber files for the board design. On the one hand, this is very expensive for a pair of splitter cards. On the other hand, it's a marvelous price for low quantity four layer boards. Most places want about $500 just for the tooling no matter how many four layer boards you order. I would happily pay $68 per board to avoid hand wiring it. :-) If enough SE/30 folks were interested that cost could be brought down considerable by ordering 100 of them, but there probably isn't a market for 100 of them in any reasonable amount of time. Plus, one would still want to do a proto-type order to test that the design works, which ups the costs. Jeff Walther -- Compact Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/>.
