Greetings, I'm new to this list so I hope you'll all indulge me for the moment.
My SE/30 running System 7 seems to have developed a "buzzing" through the internal speaker (it can also be heard through the rear audio out). The "buzz" seems to occur when the Mac does anything. For example: spinning the diskdrive, spinning the harddrive, keystrokes, mouse movement, screen draws (particularly noticeable when selecting items on the apple menu) If it's just sitting there, nothing on-screen except the desktop, it's quiet. The sound from the speaker is also diminished as the startup "Bong" is very low and even with the sound in the control panel set to "7" you can barely hear the alert sounds. I attempted to search the internet for relevant info, but was unable to find anything related to my SE/30's symptoms. I'm hoping someone here has heard of this problem or can point me in the right direction.
