I have a Fujitsu 512 meg 50pin SCSI harddrive that I would like to use in my Classic II. When I hook it up the system boots to the ploppy drive and when I run HD SC setup to partition and format the drive it responds saying that there are no suitable SCSI devices connected to the SCSI port.
Is that because it was not originally a mac drive? I had it in an old PC for all of its life, and decided that it would have greater purpose in my Classic II. I have tried almost every jumper combination that the drive is capable of. Termination is on and the drive is set to ID1... What do I need to do to get this drive to work in the mac? The mac does in fact go out and access the drive, I can see the drive light flash, but it doesn't see it as a useable device.
Right now I am running the original 40meg with sys 7.0.1, I want to run 7.5.3, but that 40meg drive is just too small...
