I copied that to a boot floppy and put the 500 meg back in the classicII and it is initializing right now. Actually I had to 'hack' the file myself because I am on a pc and couldn't get the file to copy into Basilisk II to get it on a floppy. but I got it working...

Thanks, now that this works, I have to make the 19 disk set for OS 7.5.3 and copy it all to the drive, and then install it. I have no cd rom drive to use... :(

Thanks,
-Mike-

I have a Fujitsu 512 meg 50pin SCSI harddrive that I would like to use

responds saying that there are no suitable SCSI devices connected to the
SCSI port.

Use HD SC setup 7.3.5 (patched) instead. The one you're using won't see non-Apple ROM hard drives but the patched one will. <ftp://grijan.cjb.net:21000/macintosh/Software/Utilities/hd_scsetup_735%28patche d%29.sea.bin>
